Myddfai Food & Culture Trail

Come to Myddfai for a 4 day Food and Culture Trail starting on Monday 19th August

Celebrating Culture

 (Supported by Menter Bro Dinefwr – Welsh Goverment – European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development)

Myddfai Food and Culture Trail

 Day – 1  Monday August 19th  10am-4pm

An interactactive demonstration of traditional and modern baking skills.

1.30 – 4.00  An afternoon Food Safari takes to visit local farm producer

Day 2  Monday September 2nd  Traditional Baking Day

A hands on class making a selection of sweet and savoury breads, cakes, pies using locally sourced ingredients/ produce

Day 3  Monday September 9th  –

“Season of mellow Fruit fullness” We -evaluate old preserving skills and create new recipes for a Myddfai Heritage Autumn Menu

Day 4 Monday September 30th  Learn how to  prepare and cook the spoils of hunting, shooting and fishing and foraging in the surrounding countryside

 Followed bA Traditional Welsh Harvest Hwylnos  Friday 4th October

An evening of fine dining and Welsh Entertainment

 

Day courses 10-3pm. Cost £35 inc lunch

Discount price for the 4 day course £120

Courses are free for Myddfai Ty Talcen Volunteers

Courses are suitable for Welsh learners
