Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic


Carmarthenshire County Council hereby gives notice that from Tuesday 9th January 2024 between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along that length of road known as the  C2166  Myddfai from a point 30 metres South East its junction with the U4267 for a distance of 250 metres in a South Easterly direction.


The closure is necessary to ensure public safety whilst  BT restore customer services.


The alternative route for South Eastbound traffic is to travel in a North Westerly direction along the C2166 passing the property Fron Farm to its junction with the C2153.  At the junction turn left onto the C2153 and proceed in a Southerly direction passing the property Min y Ffordd towards Myddfai.  At Myddfai turn left onto the C2166 and proceed in a North Easterly direction passing the property Capel Bwlch y Rhiw to return to a point North East of the closure.  Vice Versa for North West bound diverted traffic.



Pedestrian movement to individual properties will be maintained where possible


This Notice shall continue in force for a period not exceeding twenty-one days after which time its provision may be extended by a Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the same Act.
